Quality Assurer - 4 days on, 4 days off

The Quality Assurer (QA) is responsible for undertaking all of the checks necessary to ensure that materials and finished products meet legal requirements and the requirements of the business and our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out all QA checks correctly and at the defined frequencies to ensure that all products are being produced and/or dispatched are within specification.
  • Conduct checks at defined frequencies to ensure that the critical control points (CCP’s) are within the limits.
  • Complete intake checks on raw materials and packaging materials.
  • Accurately completing all paperwork.
  • Actively encouraging all staff to work to good manufacturing practices (GMP) and good hygienic practices (GHP).
  • Correct staff who are not following company rules and procedures.

Hours of Work

This position works an 8-day shift pattern, where 4 consecutive shifts of 12 hours per day are worked, followed by 4 consecutive days off. In any such 8 day period, 48 hours are worked.  Shift times are 6.00am - 6.00pm.


Rate of Pay 

  • Hourly rates start at £10.60 per hour*
  • Overtime is paid at 1.5 times the standard hourly rate

Working Environment

The role will be undertaken at our distribution site, meaning the work will involve handling final pack product.  Therefore there is no gutting or filleting of fish and no smell.

  • Applicants must be aged 18 years old or older

  • Have a professional approach and attitude
  • Previous experience of working as a Quality Assurer would be preferred.
