The main part of our business is supplying frozen seafood products to retailers and Food Service companies. We also run a trading division specialising in the procurement of frozen at sea fillets and H&G cod and haddock from sites throughout Europe and Asia. Operations are run from a modern, 50,000 square foot factory with a secondary freezing capacity of 60 tonnes per day and primary capacity of 25 tonnes per day. All of the facilities are accredited to the highest EFSIS standards and there are extensive NPD, QC, laboratory and cold-storage facilities on site. In recent years, a substantial amount of capital has been invested in new technology which has allowed us to streamline our production process. The Company currently supplies to major retailers and food service companies in the UK, as well as Europe and North America, with sales in excess of £30m per annum. At Thistle Seafoods we pride ourselves on quality of product, service level, flexibility and reliability. In addition, we have a very proactive and highly successful development department which monitors market trends, creating products to meet consumer and customer needs. |
